reasonable experience at this hotel
modern shuttle convenient location sufficient breakfast daily closure strange reason lunchtime cleaning
i found a modern shuttle bus service that ran from the mtr station. it maintained its schedule. the location near the waterfront provided convenient access to other spots. the breakfast selection was sufficient, offering both asian and western options.
The hotel pool closes daily from 11:45 to 13:00. as a guest, i had to leave the pool area during these times. this struck me as quite odd. the staff could not explain the reason for this closure. They mentioned cleaning was done over lunchtime.

broken blinds early noise
the blackout blinds did not work in my room, so light came in all night and woke me up early. pet noise was also pretty bad because the hotel allows dogs. i think management should tell people that it's a dog-friendly hotel, especially since you hear dogs barking early. the only bar there is a sports bar. it was noisy.

the room was quite large and very clean. i especially appreciated the complimentary drinks and the filtered water provided for drinking. the balcony was a nice addition to the room. i found the bathtub very relaxing (i used it every day).
the blackout blinds in my room were broken. light came in all evening and i woke up early because of the sun. i also didn't appreciate that this is a dog hotel. there was a fair amount of pet noise early in the morning from small dogs in neighboring rooms.
